Personal branding photos are perfect for anyone in business that want to promote themselves and their product which shows your uniqueness and personality and tells your story. It is for small business owners, entrepreneurs and independent brand builders that want a strong and cohesive online presence. If people do business with you because of you or recognise your name and trust you as an expert in your field then you have a personal brand that needs to be visualised. As the name suggests, headshots are just pictures of your head and shoulders with a fairly formal pose with bland backdrop. Headshots are ideal social media profiles like Linkedin or putting your team on display, but a headshot won’t communicate your message, your brand or tell your story. Personal branding photos provide engaging content that can be used on multiple advertising platforms in order to build trust with potential clients. A headshot alone won’t cut it.

The great news is you do not have to do it alone. I will help you through the whole planning process from setting your goals, creating your vision and brand awareness, to how this will be communicated and working out your target audience. Every detail is planned from your setting, props and tools, to your wardrobe, hair and makeup, to where and how your photos will be used.

We will work it out together! You probably already have a personal brand but don’t know it’s full potential. If you know what you would like to communicate, how you want to be visually portrayed and who your ideal customer is, then we can start building your personal brand identity from there.

Your brand, your product started from somewhere and whilst your business may not be a shop in the traditional sense, made out of bricks and mortar, we will delve into what your shop would look like as a virtual store. Through your personal branding photos we can create and communicate that visual reality.

Absolutely! Your staff are part of your story, your brand. By including your staff you can show more of how your brand operates and all the behind the business scenes which makes the photos more creative and engaging to your audience and potential customer.

Generally, you should allow 3-4 hours which includes hair and makeup and is also dependent on the locations selected. As we have thoroughly prepared your shoot in advance this ensures we have plenty of time to capture the images you want. I always suggest allowing a little extra time in your own schedule as I make sure to get the images, the shots you want without watching the clock.

The outfits that you will wear for the shoot will be planned out with our stylist Sam via a Zoom consultation. She will take into account your profession and all the information we have collected when planning your shoot, like the locations and what you will be doing to select the right outfit to help tell your story. Generally Sam will try to select outfits in your wardrobe. If there are some pieces that you both feel need to be added you will be given guidance on where to get them from and you can send pictures to Sam whilst your shopping.

She will be your pocket stylist!

Don’t worry, we will guide you through the whole process . Most people aren’t used to being photographed and feel nervous but I make it easy and fun. Unlike headshots, a branding shot is more about capturing natural action shots of what you are doing whether you are sitting, posing, standing or moving, just depends on your story. It’s also about producing the best version of you ensuring that we enhance what you want to show and perhaps dull what you don’t. I will show you how to stand to compliment your figure, where to look and your hand and feet placement tells the all important story.

I guarantee after a couple of shots you will be so relaxed and comfortable in front of the camera that you totally enjoy the experience and this will also be captured in your photos.

Although not a complete list, I do recommend bringing the following;

• Bring the outfits that were presselected during your consultation with the stylist.

• Any props we listed

• a good playlist on your phone to chill out to during your hair and makeup pamper session and during the shoot.

• Snacks, hot & cold drinks are provided in the studio but your own water bottle for the location is handy.

Most importantly bring yourself, your story and your vision. I will bring my experience and knowledge to make this not only an enjoyable and memorable experience, but one that is going to set your business and your brand apart from all the others.

Within a couple days of your shoot, you will have an opportunity to see your photos via a private online gallery and stand in awe of how much content you actually have and all the ways in which you can use these new photos to engage your audience.

Next step is to choose what you love. Then the photos will be professionally retouched. You receive a colour copy, black & white and also a colour filter that works with your brand. I offer digital photo bundles so you can assemble a collection of photos that will work for you.
