When is the best age for newborn photographs near Parramatta?

Newborn photographs in Parramatta are best taken within the first 2- 4 weeks of your baby’s life. This is the best time we can model the womb-like behaviour of keeping them in a little bundle. 

 When do you suggest booking my photography session?

Don’t wait till your baby arrives, it’s best to plan ahead and book your baby photos in Parramatta early!

I suggest booking a date while you are in your third trimester. Pre-booking secures your newborn session and we can make a tentative date in the diary. Once your baby arrives we can arrange a suitable time and day for your newborn photography session.

How do I prepare for newborn photography?

This may be your first time venturing out with your little one. Getting dressed or washing your hair can even be a chore as a new mum, so professional hair and makeup is included in your session so you can sit back, relax and feel like you again.

What do I bring to my infant photography session in Parramatta?

You are welcome to bring a few outfits for the baby, a favourite soft toy, booties or hats,  but I also have lots of baby blankets, wraps, hats and props for the baby in the studio .

For the mums and dad please bring plain coloured outfits, usually one dark and one light. Jeans and a Tshirt are fine. I will discuss this with you in details as we are planning your session before the baby arrives.

How long is the session in Parramatta?

Knowing that newborns have their own routine, sessions take approximately 3 hours. I take into account feeding and settling time. Relax and watch on as I patiently settle your baby in for their very first professional newborn photography session.

Can older siblings attend the session?

Yes, older siblings are welcome to be part of the session but you will need someone else there to mind them as we proceed with the session. A grandparent is welcome to attend as well and have a few photos with the baby.

We can organise this as we plan your session.

When do I see my photos?

1-2 weeks after the session you are invited back to my studio to view and purchase your images. The photos are shown on a large screen and I am there to help you select the best images as well as help you design an album or any wall art you wish to buy. There is no hard sell , there are products suited to all budgets and payment plans are available.

I can also design an album or wall prints with images from your pregnancy and newborn session.

How much is a newborn photography session?

The session fee is $295 and includes hair + makeup for mum. The fee is due at the time of booking.

Alternately you can book your maternity and newborn photography sessions bundled for $350.

Where is your photography studio located?

My studio is in Sydney’s Inner West, Leichhardt. There is free street parking right outside and the baby stroller can be wheeled right in. I always meet you outside and help you bring in your clothes and things you may be bringing with you.

The studio is baby-friendly and I create a warm and cosy atmosphere for you to all relax and enjoy your little miracle as we photograph.
