Pregnancy is such a special and fleeting time, and a maternity photoshoot is a beautiful way to celebrate this chapter before your little one arrives.

As a maternity photographer in Sydney and a mum of twin girls, I understand just how meaningful these memories can be. My maternity photography sessions are designed to help you feel comfortable, confident and beautiful while creating timeless images you and your family can treasure for years to come.

Your maternity photoshoot takes place in my private studio in Leichhardt, Sydney's Inner West. You can choose a look that feels like you — from flowing gowns and elegant fabrics to something more natural, glamorous or intimate. Each pregnancy photography session is tailored to your personal style and comfort.

Professional hair and makeup can help you feel extra confident and camera-ready, while I guide you through every pose so you never have to worry about what to do in front of the camera.

Partners and children are also welcome to be part of your maternity photoshoot. Including the people you love can create beautiful, meaningful images that tell the story of this exciting time in your life.

Hi, I'm Simona. As a female photographer and mum of twin girls, I understand that stepping in front of the camera during pregnancy can sometimes feel daunting.

My goal is to make your maternity photography experience relaxed, enjoyable and all about you. I'll guide you through flattering poses and help you feel comfortable throughout the session, so you can simply enjoy the experience and celebrate your beautiful changing body.

  • I recommend having your maternity images taken around 34–36 weeks. At this stage, your baby bump is beautifully rounded, while you are hopefully still feeling comfortable enough to enjoy the photoshoot.

    It's best to book your maternity session earlier in your pregnancy to secure your preferred date and give you plenty of time to plan your experience.

  • Your maternity photography experience begins with some time to relax and be pampered. If you have chosen hair and makeup, you can sit back, put your feet up and enjoy being professionally prepared for your session.

    I have a range of beautiful maternity gowns, clothing, lace slips and fabrics available, giving us different options to create a variety of looks. You’re also welcome to bring your own clothing if you have something special in mind.

    Once you’ve booked your maternity photoshoot, I’ll send you a preparation guide with helpful information about what to bring, including recommended underwear styles and colours.

    During the session, I’ll gently guide you through each pose and help you feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera. We’ll take our time to create a beautiful collection of maternity portraits that celebrate your pregnancy and this special time in your life.

  • Wear something that makes you feel comfortable and beautiful. Flowing dresses, fitted outfits that show off your baby bump, bodysuits or something more simple and natural can all photograph beautifully.

    Before your session, I’ll help you choose outfits that suit your style and the look you would like to create. The most important thing is that you feel confident and comfortable in what you wear.

  • Absolutely. Your maternity photography experience begins with professional hair and makeup while you sit back and relax. I have a beautiful range of maternity gowns, clothing, lace slips and fabrics to create a look that feels unique to you.

    You’re also welcome to bring your own clothing if you have something special in mind. Once your maternity session is booked, you’ll receive a preparation guide with suggestions on what to bring, including recommended underwear styles and colours.

  • Yes. Professional hair and makeup can be added to your maternity photography session. It’s a lovely way to relax, feel pampered and feel your best in front of the camera.

    Your makeup will be professionally applied to enhance your natural features, while your hair can be styled to complement your chosen outfits and the overall look of your maternity portraits.

  • Absolutely! Your partner and children are very welcome to be part of your maternity photoshoot. Including your family can create beautiful, meaningful images that capture this special chapter for everyone.

    We can create a mix of portraits of you on your own, photos with your partner, and relaxed family images with your children. This way, your final gallery tells the full story of your growing family.

  • I’m a maternity photographer based in Sydney’s Inner West, with my studio located in Leichhardt. The studio is a cosy, clean and beautiful daylight-filled space designed to make you feel comfortable and relaxed throughout your maternity photoshoot.

    There are several different setups and a range of coloured backgrounds available, giving us plenty of options to create a variety of looks and styles during your session.

    Whether you’re looking for soft and natural portraits or something a little more styled and creative, we can tailor the session to create maternity images that feel personal to you.

  • The session takes approximately 1.5–2 hours and includes 3–4 different setups of your choice. This gives us plenty of time to capture a beautiful variety of maternity portraits without feeling rushed.

    We’ll take our time with outfit changes, posing and different looks, making sure you feel comfortable and relaxed throughout your session.

  • You don’t need to know how to pose or feel confident in front of the camera. I will guide you throughout the session with gentle direction, helping you with your hands, posture and movement so everything feels natural and flattering. The goal is for you to relax, enjoy the experience and feel beautiful and not worry about what to do in front of the camera.

  • Approximately 1-2 weeks after your maternity shoot, we will arrange a suitable time for an appointment at my Leichhardt studio to view and purchase your images.

    Alternatively, you can choose to select your images from your pregnancy photography session at the same time you do your newborn photography order.

    Images are projected onto a large screen to ensure you see the full quality and detail of your images. I am there to help you choose the best photographs for your needs and suggest different ways you can display them. I can also design an album with images from your pregnancy and newborn session.
