Newborn Photography Studio in Leichhardt, Sydney
My newborn photography studio is located in Leichhardt in Sydney's Inner West, providing a comfortable and private space for your newborn photography session.
The studio has everything needed for your baby's photoshoot, including a selection of blankets, wraps, hats and props. You are also welcome to bring a favourite outfit, soft toy or special item that you'd like included in your photographs.
Newborn sessions take approximately 3 hours, allowing plenty of time for feeding, changing and settling your baby. There is no need to rush — we work around your newborn's individual routine.
Professional hair and makeup is included for mums, giving you the opportunity to relax and feel pampered before we create your family portraits.

I'm Simona Janek, a Sydney photographer specialising in newborn, maternity and portrait photography.
I understand that having your photograph taken can sometimes feel daunting — especially during those first weeks of motherhood when you're tiread, adjusting to a new routine and getting used to life with your baby.
My approach is calm, relaxed and completely baby-led. I take the time to settle your newborn, work around feeding and cuddling, and never rush the session. Your baby's safety and comfort always come first.
I also want you to feel beautiful and comfortable in front of the camera. With professional hair and makeup included, you can take a moment to relax and enjoy being pampered while I capture the connection between you, your baby and your family.

Newborn photography is generally best scheduled within the first 2–4 weeks after your baby is born. I recommend booking during your third trimester so we can reserve a tentative session date before your baby arrives.

I suggest booking a date while you are in your third trimester. Pre-booking secures your newborn session and we can make a tentative date in the diary. Once your baby arrives we can arrange a suitable time and day for your newborn photography session.

This may be your first time venturing out with your little one. Getting dressed or washing your hair can even be a chore as a new mum, so professional hair and makeup is included in your session so you can sit back, relax and feel like you again.

Bring simple, neutral-coloured clothing for mum and dad. Jeans and a T-shirt are fine, and you'll receive more detailed preparation guidance when planning your session.

You are welcome to bring a few outfits for the baby, a favourite soft toy , booties or hats, but I also have lots of baby blankets, wraps, hats and props for the baby in the studio .
For the mums and dad please bring plain coloured outfits, usually one dark and one light. Jeans and Tshirt are fine. I will discuss this with you in details as we are planning your session before the baby arrives.

Alternatively, you can choose to select your images from your newborn photography session.
Images are projected onto a large screen to ensure you see the full quality and detail of your images. I am there to help you choose the best photographs for your needs and suggest different ways you can display them. I can also design an album with images from your newborn session.
